Commercial or Employment arbitration
$395/hour for Commercial, Consumer, or Employment arbitrations.
Hourly rate includes time spent on scheduling matters, prehearing conferences, prehearing motions, hearings on the merits, research, decision drafting. Days scheduled for a hearing on the merits are based on an eight-hour day.
Labor arbitration
Per diem fee: $1400/day.
Per diem fee is for up to an eight-hour day of hearing.
Per diem fee includes time spent in hearing, study time, and decision drafting.
Mediation
Full day: $1900 (up to 8 hours; $950 per side)
Half day: $1000 (up to 4 hours; $500 per side)
Hourly rate beyond scheduled time: $300/hour ($150 per side)
(Fees for mediation are due no later than 10 calendar days before the mediation)
NOTE: To reduce expenses, all of our mediations are done by video unless the parties request otherwise.
Cancellation/postponement policy
Cancellation or postponement 30 calendar days or less before scheduled hearing or mediation date(s) will be charged the full per diem fee or scheduled rate for each scheduled day. No charge for cancellation or postponement more than 30 days before the scheduled hearing or mediation date.
Travel policy
Time spent traveling within 30 miles of nearest office location is at no charge. Time spent traveling outside 30 miles of nearest office location is billed at $175/hour or one-half day per diem or scheduled rate, whichever is lower.
Travel expenses will be billed for actual expenses incurred (e.g., airfare, hotel, taxi or rental car, meals, parking). Mileage is the applicable IRS rate. Travel is charged from our office nearest the hearing.
NOTE: Some ADR arrangements limit or set fees by law, agreement, or by the governing forum rules, which may supersede the above fees and expenses.
